I am going to be joining the HW Newsletter this week. I would also like to get some information on the conventions in 2003 in OH & CA. I see a lot of people with more than one of the convention cars.
How exactly does this operate?
If I purchase a convention ticket...what exactly do I get with the ticket?
Are the other cars additional/seperate to the convention ticket?
Is it restricted to one ticket per person (driver license/ID) or can one person buy multiple tickets?

Has anyone received the April Update for the HWN with the convention ticket purchase info? I am a brand new subscriber and haven't received my update yet with the 2002 Convention info yet.

Well, another convention has come and gone and I gotta tell you two that these conventions keep getting better and better! I enjoyed having Mike visit our room at 2am to just sit and talk with some of the redline collectors who were still up. It was great to see old friends and make new ones in Reston. I will be looking forward to next years Nationals wherever that may be!

Diane, Previously you said, "There are a little over 1,000, not counting the staff and freebies (Mattel, etc.) and 400 for dinner." What is the number of tickets that you start out to sell for each convention and how many are usually left for the general public? Also, is it hard to get the dinner tickets? What is the process? I'm trying to be fully prepared so I can take full advantage of everything the October convention has to offer. Are there any tours/events offered outside...

Are credit/debit card accepted at the Souvenirs Show room? or is only cash accepted? I'm asking because I just read that Mattel is only accepting cash at their booth.

This will be me and my wife's first time (EVER) attending a Hot Wheels convention, and to make matters more interesting, we're bring our 4 children (11, 9, 8, and 18 months) with us. How has the past conventions responded with children being there? Diane, will there still be cars available in the Souvenier room for those of us arriving late Thursday or can you only get the car on the day it is released. This being my first show, I am unaware of how these things work. I thought I read in the packet that there were limits until Sunday. Can you expound on this topic please. Thanks, Bill

Pre Auction Party Ticket Question

Is there some type of limit on what we can have shipped to the Hotel? Im flying and would like to take some stuff to sell, not huge quantities, but a few boxes. I couldnt find this info in the packet. And if it arrrives before I do will they hold it. Thanks.(since i dont know what my room # will be till I arrive)

I understand (from the main site page) that the convention is sold out. Is there a wait list or other place to post for tickets that for some reason (maybe?) that someone cannot attend they may wish to sell? Also, can the dinner (or other events than the Sunday event) be attended without the convention ticket?
