So what is the number one, gotta have, been searching all year for, item on your list?

I know it's our good friends and good times that make the Convention, but this thread is about THE CARS. How diverse are our interests? Post away! Maybe someone reading this has what you need and will bring it along!

In light of a couple of problems we've encountered the last few years, please heed the following advice:

The Convention (and Nationals) are produced under license from Mattel. The name and logos are trademarked/copyrighted and can not be used without the written permission of both Mattel Legal and the Hot Wheels Newsletter. Official Convention souvenirs carry the event logo and are only available in the Souvenir Salesroom or at listed events as described in your packet.

Started my R.A.O.K's

I started on my R.A.O.K cars.
They are drilled and stripped and ready for primer and paint.
I have not decided on the graphics yet but the Blues Brothers will be part of it for sure.
Because I am from Sweet Home Chicago.
I am making 50 of these baby's so if you want one you need to find me in LA. and trade me Your R.A.O.K.
I still need a couple more to make 50 but I will have them soon.

Darryl Garrison Memorial Sizzlers® Race

In honor of our friend and long-time Convention/Nationals staff member, Darryl Garrison, we have planned a memorial Sizzlers® race at the upcoming Convention.

This special race will be a fundraiser with all proceeds going to the Elizabeth and Anna Garrison Trust (Darryl's two daughters).

The entrance fee will be $20 per entrant. Only new, unopened Sizzlers® cars, provided at the race, will be used.

She is coming with a free ticket.. and because my wife passed away 3 months ago, I will have no babysitter. If I decided to do the bingo can she sit with me? I know she can't do the dinner.. but is there anything else she can go to? Also I send in the money for the vending maching pulls.. should I be getting more information anytime soon? Never been to LA but I hear there are Mattel or Hot Wheels toy stores in California.

Here's a couple questions:
Is one located near the hotel for the Convention? Is it owned by Mattel (like a factory outlet) or just a store that specializes in Hot Wheels?
